Rss Structure – how to develop own feed

To create own feed is very easy and fast.
At first, we must create an XML file, and then write into this:

This is the heading, where you can change every element.
Between “description” and “”, you’ll write the items:

Obviously, here too you can change every element into what you want.
This will be your own feed:

WOW! Finally I have resolved the problem and I have released the first version of RssC: RssC 1.0!!!!
This program reads RSS files through an XML files like this:

For now, only “title”, “link” and “description” items are supported. In the future, I want to add some new items like “author” or “pubDate”.

Firefox 3.0.1 released

Yesterday, Firefox 3.0.1, the first update, has been released.

Firefox 3.0.1 fixed several issues found in Firefox 3.

* Fixed several security issues.
* Fixed several stability issues.
* Fixed an issue where the phishing and malware database did not update on first launch.
* Under certain circumstances, Firefox 3.0 did not properly save the SSL certificate exceptions list.
* Updated the internal Public Suffix list.
* In certain cases, installing Firefox 2 in the same directory in which Firefox 3 has been installed resulted in Firefox 2 being unstable. This issue was fixed as part of Firefox 2.0.0.15.
* Fixed an issue where, when printing a selected region of content from the middle of a page, some of the output was missing (bug 433373).
* Fixed a Linux issues where, for users on a PPP connection (dialup or DSL) Firefox always started in "Offline" mode (bug 424626).

Rss Structure – part 2

In this “lesson”, we’ll talk about the heading of the RSS XML file.
It’s very simple and easy to develop to create own RSS feed with a complete heading.

The heading is useful to classify your feed, giving it a title and a description.

The next part of the course will explain like developing own feed.
PS: I have continued my project, but I have a problem with a class, the “Rss” class, that contains all information of an item.

[From Wikipedia]RSS is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines, and podcasts in a standardized format. An RSS document (which is called a "feed", "web feed", or "channel") contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with web sites in an automated manner that can be piped into special programs or filtered displays.
When we read an RSS, the reader parses an XML files, where you can find several items, correspondents to the several titles of the feed.
Every item is structured in this way:

This structure is very simple and it can be useful in two cases:
• To read XML documents that contains RSS structure;
• To self-write RSS files, for a blog or a website.
In the part 2, we’ll talk about the heading of the XML file. My interesting for this argument is derived from a new software that I’m writing, RssC. This program read RSS by a XML file.

WebClient is a class situated in System.Net. The first parameter is the file's position. The second is the filename, where it saves the file on our hard disk.
